I came home, got into workout clothes, and ran down to the glider port outside the ERC apartments. It was about 4.30 pm, perfectly crisp, with one light layer of clouds near the horizon. As I got closer to the glider port, I noticed it was some kind of special day, cause there were about 30 gliders out. I ran to the edge of the cliff and sat down, and truly breathed.
I keep forgetting that I live in San Diego. Its weather almost beats Redondo, and today was a perfect example. From the top of the cliffs the waves looked absolutely gorgeous, and the horizon stretched on forever. The gliders kept coming in and out of my vision and hovering right in front of the sun. The thing that killed me was not having my camera there. But I have to admit, it was reallly nice to have that moment without worrying about how the shot looked.
I'd definitely forgotten about that chem lab by the time I ran back.
